Estimated Time: 2 - 5 Hours Over 1 - 2 Weeks

What we need is a Health & Safety expert who can review (and edit) our new Health & Safety guidelines document that the Volunteer Manager has been tasked to do. We are a small organisation with 2 full time equivalents and 30 active volunteers who 'work' in our space. This needs to be a board level document that is easily understood by all our volunteers.

Working location

Level 4, 53 Boulcott Street, CBD, Wellington, 601. I am flexible to where the engagement is,either in or outside work hours and could travel throughout the Wellington region.

Proposed project steps with time estimates

Over the last 2 months our volunteer manager attended a 2 hour seminar on the requirements of the Health & Safety Act 2015.
Using a published guide and referring to the Health & Safety Act, we have produced a document that now needs to be reviewed and audited to ensure it has all the information required and meets our organisation's needs and responsibility under the Health & Safety Act 2015.
A Hazard Register has also been complied and made need a review.
The Health & Safety guidelines review will require reading, the editing may require re-writes and formatting. It may also need for the reviewer to visit our organisation.
Ideally the guidelines should be ready for producing to our Board early August or September 2017.

What we Do
We provide Going Places pre-employment programmes around goal setting, CVs and cover letters, interview training and money matters. Our post employment programmes are around leadership, workplace etiquette, social media, work life balance and career management. We also provide a styling and dressing service. This ensures clients look their best when they attend an interview for a job or to assist those in training or work experience when they do not have work appropriate attire to wear. Once the client finds permanent employment they may return for a capsule work wardrobe to assist them in the first few weeks of work. All our clients are referred from our registered referral agencies and are free to our clients.
