We need volunteers to assist with event security, artist assistance, ticketing and audience well-being work on 7 December 2019 at McEwan Park Petone, Lower Hutt. The Event is a dual one with a free 'Christmas in the Park' style concert from 6pm to 9pm. This is followed by an 18+ concert for 2 hours which then becomes a sleep out until 6am the following morning. The Words Big Sleep Out is a global event raising awareness and funds for the Homeless and Displaced. We have multiple stages and a very eclectic range of local and international artist performing. We want serious people who like helping others. it will require a 2 day effort with some long periods of participation. We provide T-shirts as ID and Food & Beverage and have extra info online at www.worldsbigsleepout.org.nz In New Zealand we support recipient charity OrangeSky NZ
Working location
McEwan Park, Marine Parade, Petone, Lower Hutt
We will provide information and specific contact beyond initial communication
Proposed project steps with time estimates
Make Contact, Volunteer must be over 18.
We will advise all information in November (mid)
If required there will be a pre event meeting.
On 5-6 December volunteers will meet on site to get familiar with the venue and be allocated roles and times.
On December 7 (event day) volunteers will assemble early afternoon and commence their assigned duties or leave to return if so required. It is a long day so shifts will be used to cover the period.
What We Have In Place
All Volunteers will work under professional management and supervision
We have security, H&S experts, St, Johns and event organisers experienced in event delivery.

What we Do
In 2019 we are the organisation linked internationally to make December 7 a global event ad raising awareness and funding for Homeless and Displaced People. In NZ we are holing a massive Sleep Out with entertainment in McEwan Park Petone. Using Givealittle as our support platform we will use admission by donation to entice peole to the cause.
