Pablos Art Studio is a freely accessible service with a focus on enhancing the quality of life and supporting the mental wellbeing. We provide a safe space for art creation as well as free materials, art tuition and art therapy.

118 Tory Street, Wellington

Proposed project steps with time estimates

We need people on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays from 1.00 - 4.00pm

Some days will be helping in the studio with art classes or assisting tutors on outings.

Our ongoing volunteer roles are within the studio, volunteers typically donate 2-4 hours of their time per week. Studio duties are mainly structured around assisting tutors with workshops, outings, helping artists, cleaning art materials or sorting the library.

We are looking for enthusiastic, personable and reliable volunteers to help keep our not-for-profit organisation thriving.

What we Do
Pablos Art Studios offers free arts opportunities such as materials, workshops, demonstrations, individual tuition, discussion and critique groups, exhibition opportunities, outings, outreach programs, as well as individual and group art therapy. Artists work at their own desk or at a communal table. Participants are Tangata Mātau ā- wheako (have a lived experience of mental health), they enter Pablos service to focus on supporting/maintaining mental wellbeing. Artists work independently or collectively towards their creative goals, balancing their independent art practice with workshops or collaborations.
