COVID-19 SUPPORT: Physical Exercise Volunteers
Who Did You Help Today?

Estimated Time: 1 - 8 Hours Over

With New Zealand on Level 4 lockdown, many people will be feeling anxiety, stress, and frustration. Exercise may help them maintain their physical and mental wellbeing, but many people have lost their usual avenues to exercise. Are you able to help members of the community find innovative ways to exercise? We are looking for volunteers who can connect by phone or online with members of the community to teach and facilitate them carrying out physical activity. That may involve: • chatting about ways they can exercise during lockdown; • pointing them in the direction of online resources; • carrying out online classes for people to join in from their home; or • other innovative ways to help facilitate people’s exercise. You might be a personal trainer, gym instructor, yoga/Pilates teacher, dance teacher, PE teacher or other fitness professional.
