VOLUNTEERS NEEDED - WAIKATO HEALING INNOVATION HUB is a registered charity organisation founded in 2020.  Our mission is to heal, innovate and inspire.  Our aim is to promote holistic mental health and well-being through innovative, holistic and indigenous approaches and to encourage a rethink of mental health for better long-term outcomes. We need 10 enthusiastic volunteers who have hearts of integrity to wear our HIH charity merchandise & fundraise for exciting upcoming healing projects! Those projects include: RONGOAA MATIHIKO - Digital Therapy online classes and RONGOAA RĀWEKEWEKE – Adventure Therapy Camp These two programmes align with the Whare Tapa Wha model which takes into account a holistic, non-clinical approach to mental health and wellbeing. Taha Tinana (Physical) Taha Wairua (Spiritual) Taha Hinengaro (Mental & Emotional) Taha Whaanau (Family & Social) Our business growth plan is aligned to improve health, education and employment opportunities.

Working location

Outside supermarkets & shops. Big events.

Proposed project steps with time estimates

1. Recruitment team meeting with all our charity volunteers (online or face-to-face)
2. Resources dispatched to all volunteer contractors
3. Fundraise at set venues under supervision of charity management

What we Do
Healing Innovation Hub Charity Objectives: • To promote holistic health and well-being in the community; • To establish and operate an indigenous helpline (Rongoā Korero) across different communication platforms, to provide high-quality advocacy and counselling support for individuals nationwide; • To promote and improve community access to health and well-being resources, including by: o creating and providing access to a database of holistic health and well-being service providers and other community resources; o providing a referral process to holistic health and well-being service providers and other community resources; • To undertake research and development projects, and collaborate with, tertiary institutions and technology organisations to develop innovative resources to promote and improve holistic health and well-being; • To develop accessible digital applications and other resources, to promote and improve community health and well-being; • To provide therapeutic programmes
