Enviro Story Telling
Pest Free Waitākere Ranges Alliance

Estimated Time: 6 - 12 Hours Over

The Pest Free Waitākere Ranges Alliance would like to improve our newsletter content by including a special environmental story in each issue. We put out a monthly newsletter and are seeking to establish a small group of writers that would be willing to contribute three enviro-focused stories each in the year. The Alliance would be able to provide topic suggestions. If you enjoy discovering more about nature and threatened species and telling their story while helping out an organisation dedicated to the restoration of the Waitākere Ranges, we'd love to hear from you.

Working location

Volunteer from the comfort of your home.

Proposed project steps with time estimates

We're looking for 4 writers to each write 3 nature-related articles for the PFWRA newsletter over the course of a year. These needn't be very long articles, anything from 600 words.

You would be able to select which 3 months of the year you are able to contribute.

The PFWRA can provide topic suggestions, but will equally be happy to hear which topics you are interested in covering. Topics will be relevant to the natural environment of the Waitākere Ranges.

As an example, there is currently work being done to support the Hochstetter's frog population in the ranges. We would love to inform our public of this special frog through story telling as a means of garnering their support of this mahi.

What We Have In Place

A monthly newsletter in need of a feature story.
