Donor Research - Plan Development

Donor Research - Plan Development

Donor Research - Plan Development
Aviva

Estimated Time: 10 - 16 Hours Over 1 - 3 Months

We are looking for a Market Researcher to design a plan that enables us to better understand our donors.

Benefit statement

Family violence is one of the major issues facing communities throughout New Zealand, but our free services are significantly under-funded. This is one of the projects that is going to help better the future of our Organisation.

What we need

We need a passionate and insightful researcher to work with us to understand our donors so that we can retain the ones we have and grow new donor networks. The ideal person would have the ability to design research methods, work with us to conduct the research and help us analyse the findings so that they are meaningful and useful to us. Hours to complete this project are estimates only and can be agreed / confirmed between volunteer and the organisation when a match is confirmed.

What would be nice to have

The person would:
- Ideally be Canterbury-based
- Have experience with developing customer research projects
- Be keen to work with us on this first stage of our project, and possibly be interested in seeing it through to implementation!
- Have experience in fundraising/donor acquisition and/or retention

What we have in place

We currently have a (slightly antiquated) small donor database and from this we would be able to provide details of our current and past donors. It does not capture demographics such as age.

We should be able to find a number volunteers to support in the execution and administration of this project, perhaps by conducting interviews or collating data. We do not have unlimited volunteer resource though so the level that we can provide would need to be considered when developing the research methodology.
