Estimated Time: 8 - 16 Hours Over 3 - 6 Months

We would like to work with a fabulous and experienced Marketer to develop the NZDSA Marketing & Communications Plan. Our goal is to grow greater awareness and a deeper understanding of the work the NZDSA does around New Zealand. This can be achieved across a diverse platform of social media channels, we just need the assistance of a professional with the skills and knowledge to get it off the ground. We would also appreciate a couple of hours at the end of teaching!

Benefit statement

We have achieved many milestones and celebrated many achievements over the years. A strong Marketing plan would enable us to get our story further afield, and in turn help us help families supporting loved ones living with Down Syndrome.

What we need

An experienced marketer with knowledge of social media, strategy, and planning, and an interest in developing our communications and media platform. Hours to complete this project are estimates only and can be agreed / confirmed between volunteer and the organisation when a match is confirmed.

What would be nice to have

A Marketing & Communications Plan that covers Strategy, Planning, Key Messages and Channel Activity.

What we have in place

The New Zealand Down Syndrome Association presented a video clip to mark World Down Syndrome Day.

The video features self-advocates sharing a message with their families, whanau, and communities. The key message is that they are enjoying meaningful and happy lives, they are valued members of their family and whanau, and they are contributing members of their communities.
