We would like to invite 4-5 Marketers / Event Gurus to join us in a one day planning "hack" (session). At this event, we would like to design an event strategy to encourage cyclists especially beginners and those new to cycling to come along and give it a try. The event is called the USO (Understanding Strengthening Overcoming) Bike Ride Relay. We need to fine tune, improve and further develop a sustainable event strategy and plan for our event that will contribute to our community work. This would require a Marketing Strategy, Event Planning (for both community events and the USO bike ride) and a Fundraising Strategy.
Benefit of project to organisation
Your contribution to this "Hack" (session) will enable us to put together an event that will attract participants, supporters and partners. With a successful event, we will be able to do the important work of improving Pacific and Māori men's health.
What we need
We need a team of marketing and event planning professionals who are able to offer their expertise to an exceptional cause over a one day team hack!
(You can apply as an individual or a team)
We would like to co-design an event strategy / plan to:
- Increase participationIncrease brand awareness
- Increase sponsorship and health opportunities
- Connect this framework to our community work
- Deliver a sustainable profit to support community work
What would be nice to have
This project will enable us to deliver an exceptional USO bike race in 2018 with all race plans, and plans for our future sustainability, ready to action by mid-2017.
We'd love to attract:
- Time with people skilled in website development, event management, marketing, sponsorship and business.
- Advice to attract/ maintain support from potential sponsors (Corporate/community business/community trusts)
What we have in place
See our event website - http://www.usobikeride.co.nz/uso-bike-ride-relay.html
