Marketing and Communications Plan - Project 2
Common Unity Project

Estimated Time: 8 - 16 Hours Over 1 - 1 Months

We would like to develop a robust marketing and communications plan for our project, in particular our plans to feed 1000 children a day and to encourage involvement from anyone in our wider community to help via volunteering / regular giving etc. We are waiting on some key parts of this project to be finalized, when we can go into further detail with those volunteers that are keen to be involved in this project. We have a draft timeframe of these key parts, which will help to frame this communications plan project.

What we need

Someone with Social Media marketing, fundraising, promotions, communications, press release, writing and story telling skills and interest in gardening, community and self resilience.

What would be nice to have

We're at Epuni School in Lower Hutt. Our volunteers can work remotely, and we would invite and encourage them to visit the school(s) to see the project first hand!An interest in gardening, community development and being involved in helping grow a community, grow skills and helping eachother to be resilient.

What we have in place

We have a project plan, website, semi-regular newsletter, draft fundraising framework, very basic marketing and comms plan (to be completed), vision statement (under review), facebook site, give a little page, timeframes. We have a lot of things in place, but we need to invigorate, freshen and liven things up! Make things more exciting and inviting for people to get involved.

Mission
Our goal is to mobilise our communities around an urban-based farm project in order to feed our local children, as well as grow skills and leadership within local families of Lower Hutt.
What we Do
Community Unity Project is a community-based, urban farm project that grows food, skills and leadership with local families in Lower Hutt. We are a registered charity that works collaboratively with Epuni Primary School, a little school with a big heart, in Lower Hutt. We grow food on a disused soccer field - enough to feed our children of Epuni School three times each week. We invite our parents and wider community to come to school each day and learn, share and educate one another. In turn, this has become a collective response to meeting the needs of our children and developing our own resilient solution within our community.
