We would like to develop a robust marketing and communications plan for our project, in particular our plans to feed 1000 children a day and to encourage involvement from anyone in our wider community to help via volunteering / regular giving etc. We are waiting on some key parts of this project to be finalized, when we can go into further detail with those volunteers that are keen to be involved in this project. We have a draft timeframe of these key parts, which will help to frame this communications plan project.
Benefit of project to organisation
In our land of plenty no family should go without. Our solution – Together we grow food, skills, jobs, a community of connections and happier humans. We look after our environment so that it can look after us. We aim to provide a model of community sharing and resilience which can be emulated around New Zealand. We will work every day to create a better future, and long-term positive change, in communities where change is a real challenge. We will help grow food, skills, enterprise and leadership.Key outcomes: Families engage with one another and enjoy family-based activitiesThe health and wellbeing of our children and families is improvedWe see positive change in our children's learningWe develop a strong, vibrant and resilient communityOther Common Unity Projects are established around New Zealand to support similar community-led initiatives. Our Values: - We welcome everyone- We are courageous- We grow from what is- We expect great things- We share everything
What we need
Someone with Social Media marketing, fundraising, promotions, communications, press release, writing and story telling skills and interest in gardening, community and self resilience.
What would be nice to have
We're at Epuni School in Lower Hutt. Our volunteers can work remotely, and we would invite and encourage them to visit the school(s) to see the project first hand!An interest in gardening, community development and being involved in helping grow a community, grow skills and helping eachother to be resilient.
What we have in place
We have a project plan, website, semi-regular newsletter, draft fundraising framework, very basic marketing and comms plan (to be completed), vision statement (under review), facebook site, give a little page, timeframes. We have a lot of things in place, but we need to invigorate, freshen and liven things up! Make things more exciting and inviting for people to get involved.
