Estimated Time: 10 - 15 Hours Over 0 - 1 Months

We’re looking for someone to provide advice and feedback as we develop a business case outlining how we are going to digitally transform our organisation. We need someone senior with experience in IT project management, digital transformation, who has ideally had experience writing business cases (or feels they have the experience to advise on this). Our business case is necessary for us to get funding to modernise our services. Getting our organisation and its services online is critical for our future sustainability so we can keep supporting people during the tough times in their lives.

Working location

The work needs to be done in work hours. We are flexible as to whether it’s at our Vivian Street office or whether we travel to another Wellington location that better suits the volunteer. We need the bulk of the work to be completed by 17 August.

Proposed project steps with time estimates

Step one: Volunteer reviews relevant materials (1.5 hours reading and reflecting).

Step two: Provide advice and input. The volunteer will attend three workshops to provide advice and input into the business case. If the volunteer prefers, this advice can be delivered in a day-long session (six hours workshops and prep/reflection time one hour).

Step three: The volunteer will review drafts that Skylight writes. This could be done iteratively between workshops (up to four hours.)

Step four: Miscellaneous liaison and answering questions (up to two hours).

What We Have In Place

We have some initial scoping documents and thinking. We know the products and services that the transformation needs to cover. We are ready to go and have had some specialist external help to get us to where we are. But we don’t have this expertise in-house and would really love some specialist advice to guide our development of the business case.
