Estimated Time: 2 - 9 Hours Over 1 - 1 Days

Special Olympics New Zealand is hosting their ninth National Summer Games in Wellington - and we need your help running the events! The Games highlight the hard work and dedication of our Intellectually Disabled Athletes, and provides opportunities for them to compete in eleven sports around the Wellington region. Special Olympics empowers athletes by focusing on the abilities that they have and the best way to showcase these abilities, while combining this with participation, sportsmanship and competition at all different levels. Special Olympics New Zealand is looking for volunteers to be involved in our National Summer Games. Volunteers will be required in sporting roles such as timekeeping, measuring, marshalling, awards ceremonies, plus many more; we will also have roles outside of the sports such as administrative roles, data entry, lunch distributing, Opening and Closing Ceremony roles, etc.
