Child Cancer Foundation
Estimated Time: 8 - 24 Hours Over 1 - 1 Weeks
For ten weeks in the autumn of 2018, Auckland will host 47 individually designed and beautifully created owl sculptures as well as 60 owlets decorated by students from Auckland schools as part of an event called The Big Hoot . This is a major Auckland event, organised by Child Cancer Foundation. The owls will be sold by public auction at the end of the trail with all proceeds to Child Cancer Foundation. Getty's will be photographing the owls on Thursday 7th December. We need them all clear-cut in Photoshop (just over 100 owls, both the front & the back). The images will be used in social media, in the printed souvenir guide and in the art trail map. We will be printing 1,000 copies of the Souvenir Guide and 50,000-80,000 copies of the Art Trail Map. You work will have a big impact and is key to publicising and highlighting the main attractions.! We're happy if you want to work together as a small team or contribute as much time as you can to help out.

Clear-cutting photographs
You would need to have access to Photoshop or similar program. Ideally if there were actions that could be run to speed up the clear-cutting process this would be ideal (as there will be over 200 images to clear-cut). Instructions to the photographers would be beneficial.
Timescales vary depending on skill or number of volunteers
We would be able to provide the images to work with on Friday 8th December and we would require them back the next Friday 15th December, in jpeg format. We would love your help to be part of this great colourful event!
What We Have In Place
Getty's are happy to take the photos however we specify to them. We have asked that they be uniform, to ensure that clear-cutting is easier. There are only 2 sizes/shapes - one size/shape for the large owls (47 of them), and one size/shape for the small owls (60 of them). However, they will all be designed and coloured differently, depending upon what the artist has done. Please refer www.thebighoot.co.nz or www.facebook.com/theBigHoot2018.
