Celebrating violence-free futures - the Video!

Estimated Time: 10 - 16 Hours Over 2 - 3 Weeks

Aviva's Youth Service has been supporting young people in Canterbury to overcome their experience of family violence for the last two years. We are currently completing an evaluation of the service and planning an event to celebrate what the service, and more importantly the young people we work with, have achieved. In October we are running a celebration event where clients and their families will share what they service has meant to them and the impact it's had on their lives. It's going to be an energetic and interactive evening full of music, art and fun. We're looking to create a video using images from the celebration event that we can use the share the Youth Service's journey with others beyond the event, inspiring others towards healthier relationships and encouraging funders to support the service. Ideally it would be great to have a videographer who could attend the event to capture footage on the night then edit this into a final product.

Working location

The event will be held in Christchurch in October (exact date TBC). Beyond the event, all other work can be done remotely and whenever works in with the volunteer.

Proposed project steps with time estimates

Intro and brief 1 hour
Capturing footage at the celebration event 2-3 hours***
Reviewing footage, editing and clipping together and generally making it awesome! 6-10 hours
Review and final edits 1-2 hours

**Ideally we would love a videographer who can capture the video and do the editing - however we would still love to hear from you if you are only interested in the editing component of this job - we may be able to use some of the young people at the event to capture the footage for editing.

What We Have In Place

An awesome event that will generate interesting footage to use. Hopefully this will include music and art that can be incorporated.
Feedback and quotes from clients that can be incorporated into video.
Young Youth Ambassadors that are willing to share their stories.
