The Riverton Aparima Renewable Energy Group-Hub need a passionate creative social media whizz to help us plan our social media content. We are brand new to Facebook and have limited experience with social media. We want to connect with our community and share our passion for renewable energy and the projects that we want to undertake. We need a plan to get peoples attention and increase our profile within the community. (Southland New Zealand) We also need advice as we are only on Facebook at this stage. What else should we be doing? We are very open to ideas and we would love to hear yours.

Working location

24 Bates St, Riverton. We can work with a volunteer virtually.

Proposed project steps with time estimates

Week 1
Learn about our group by talking with Anna our communications and events manager, visiting our website and Facebook page
Formulate a social media plan for the promotion of our survey to gauge community interest in our electric Taxibus concept
Week 3 - 5
Formulate a social media plan for:
1. Electric Taxibus project
2. Riverton Charging Station
Week 5 on
Let's look at other social media and see whether we should be engaging in any other platforms.
Help us plan a fundraising campaign for a specific fundraiser
Finally, help us asses whether what we are doing is working.

Improving energy resilience and energy dependence for Riverton Aparima.
What we Do
To research, to assist the establishment of, and to support facilities and systems for the economically sustainable use of Renewable Energy and Hydrogen including means of production, storage and utilisation, for the benefit of the community. To reduce or eliminate carbon-based fossil fuel use and consequential pollution of the environment in New Zealand. Our current project is the creation of a zero emissions taxi bus providing transport for people in Riverton who currently have no bus or taxi service to Invercargill. To provide assistance, resources and support to groups committed to the above purposes by seeking and providing funding for activities including but not limited to Relevant research and education Prototype facilities and scaling up to effective working size Experimentation with and evaluation of relevant systems.
