We need newsletter graphics!
Manawatu Reuniting Refugee Families Trust

Estimated Time: 5 - 8 Hours Over 1 - 4 Weeks

We need to improve our donor relations and we are starting with developing our newsletter. We only have one paid staff member who does not have have design skills. Please help! We need your design skills and creativity to make our newsletter happen! We want to make our regular donors feel valued and interested in our newsletter so we need it to be professional and catchy. We'd like the newsletter sent in mid-late Oct 2019. We raise funds for refugee background families in the Manawatu so they can pay their immigration, travel, legal, medical, and accommodation fees to reunite with their family by successfully applying to Immigration NZ for the family to come to NZ Your help would make a huge difference to how we communicate and keep our donors engaged..

Working location

Virtual but flexible if volunteer is local - our paid member of staff works from home so could meet at a cafe or community space in Palmerston North. Alternatively could talk via Skype, phone, or email. Limited time available in the working week so would maybe need to be after hours or on the weekend.

Proposed project steps with time estimates

Brief to discuss ideas, discuss a workplan with some agreed timescales (1 - 1.5 hours)
Logo plus any relevant graphics and organisational information sent to volunteer
Draft design concepts for a header plus any other graphics discussed at the outset (3-4 hours)
Finalise header design (1 hour)

Designer has free reign to be creative. Other suggested graphics would also be appreciated - e.g. a graphic/illustration of united families, hand holding, paper airplane signifying the newsletter and the refugee family's travel.
We would like the graphics by beginning of October.
