Estimated Time: 0 - 60 Hours Over 0 - 6 Months

Good Bitches Baking is rolling out a custom-built web-based system to match its 3000 volunteers with the 300 recipients who need a “moment of kindness”. And we need five technical specialists that can help guide the 30 “Roster Bitches” who are moving from pen, paper, and spreadsheets, to a heavily automated rostering solution. You’ll be a tech-savvy, patient, people person with experience developing / supporting database-backed web solutions.

Proposed project steps with time estimates

- Train the Specialist Training (4 hours)
- Deliver support to the pilot chapter
- Week 1: Issuing and monitoring the availability survey
- Week 2: Creating, update the provisional roster
- Week 3: Creating and update the weekly briefing
- Repeat this process monthly, with a new set of chapters

What We Have In Place

The system has been built (using Oracle APEX) and rolled out to each of the 28 Chapter Committees around the country, including the Roster Bitches.
Google Meetings are used for the connecting virtually.
Training material is in the process of being developed and finalised.

Mission
Our dream is that all people in Aotearoa New Zealand who are having a tough time feel supported and valued, whatever their circumstances.
What we Do
Good Bitches Baking is a nationwide for-purpose organisation  - we’re all about spreading kindness one treat at a time… We have 30 chapters from Whangārei to Invercargill, with 3,100+ volunteers baking delicious treats to deliver to 400+ organisations that support people having a tough time. Alongside our Baking it Better programme, we have  Prison Bake, Business Bitching and Collaborative Bitching and we commissioned a fantastic research report into whether and how community sector organisations use ‘kindness’ as an active intervention in different contexts.  There’s lots of info about what we do and what we care about on our website - www.gbb.org.nz.
