Animals Aotearoa

Estimated Time: 4 - 10 Hours Over 1 - 2 Weeks

Animals Aotearoa is a small, new organisation focusing on significantly improving welfare for the millions of chickens bred for meat. We need 4-6 simple images (line drawings) created to illustrate the key aspects of our NZ Chicken Commitment (NZCC) [https://www.animalsaotearoa.org/new-zealand-chicken-commitment.html]. If possible, we'd like to also have an infographic created with these positive images, and some to illustrate the negative aspects of what chickens bred for meat currently suffer. We would, of course, provide the wording for the infographic and full guidance on what is needed for the images. The core of our work is to engage with companies in Aotearoa who sell chicken meat, persuading them to implement the NZCC to create much better lives for these birds. Having these images to illustrate and simplify our ask to companies and to the public, will really assist what we can achieve.

What we Do
At Animals Aotearoa, we work to end the suffering and exploitation of farmed animals in Aotearoa. Our focus is on helping chickens bred for meat, as they suffer potentially the worst lives of any farmed animals, and they are farmed in the largest number – approximately 120 million per year. We also advance education and raise awareness about animal welfare, and promote sustainable and less harmful alternative forms of food production.
