Good Bitches Baking is a network of people who want to show kindness to those in their communities who are having a tough time. We do this by baking them a delicious home- baked treat. With over 3000 volunteers nationwide, we rely on fundraising to keep the ovens going. We need someone with fundraising experience and a 'get sh!t done' attitude to look after our national fundraising plans. This will involve creating, developing and implementing new ideas. Managing existing and building new corporate sponsorship & collaboration agreements along with organising fundraising events and campaigns.

Working location

Work in your own space and time. You'll mostly be working with other volunteers, so flexibility can be needed to get schedules to match.

Proposed project steps with time estimates

Estimating about 10 hours per month - this is an ongoing role.
The first month will involve an onboarding process led by the General Manager - as part of this you'll be brought up to speed on what GBB has done in the past, and what is currently in the pipeline, along with being introduced to the other volunteers you'll work with.
You'll then be asked to come up with some fundraising ideas & put a draft plan together. Plan and ideas will get finalised with the GM and then get stuck into delivering them.
There is currently a fundraiser in November 2021 being worked on, which may need some input from you.

What we Do
Good Bitches Baking is a nationwide for-purpose organisation  - we’re all about spreading kindness one treat at a time… We have 30 chapters from Whangārei to Invercargill, with 3,100+ volunteers baking delicious treats to deliver to 400+ organisations that support people having a tough time. Alongside our Baking it Better programme, we have  Prison Bake, Business Bitching and Collaborative Bitching and we commissioned a fantastic research report into whether and how community sector organisations use ‘kindness’ as an active intervention in different contexts.  There’s lots of info about what we do and what we care about on our website - www.gbb.org.nz.
