We launched this enterprise in mid 2021 to enable residents to connect, build trust, access resources to improve their wellbeing and speak with our voices into decision making. I am currently transitioning from the local residents association (NPPA) to the new Trust I have established. Our webpage is here https://newlandsnz.weebly.com/resilience.html

Working location

Proposed project steps with time estimates

My previous communications and engagement volunteer developed a communications and engagement plan this time last year. She left due to other work and family priorities mid last year. I have been looking for a replacement since then. I would really appreciate a review of the communications and engagement plan and suggested improvements.

Mission
Our vision is " A resilient community " Our mission is " To enable residents to connect, build trust, access resources to improve their wellbeing and resilience and speak with our voices into decision making"
What we Do
We believe that community resilience is having the resources, social capital, communication, and competence so the community can thrive. We believe disaster resilience is being ready, able to respond to, and able to recover from a disaster. We also believe a community is more likely to be disaster resilient if it is community resilient. In 2021 we launched a "Coordinated Community Enterprise" with the leaders of the suburb and the support of other NGO's. For community resilience we are wanting to build the capability of leaders in the community to enable the building of connections and trust amongst residents. (eg with training and professional supervision) For disaster resilience we are working with WREMO to ensure our collective approach will know needs quickly and meet those needs quickly so we can help others. For speaking with our voices we have three years of community survey results to help inform community conversations to generate ideas to improve wellbeing and resilience.
