Estimated Time: 1 - 2 Hours Over 12 - 52 Weeks

We are looking for a number of Community Champions to help us get the word out about our organisation. We are looking for people who are big into community, who are able to talk to anyone, to help us put up posters, distribute flyers and chat to people about our service, with the view to bringing more GrandFriends members on board. You could be an older person looking to give back to your community, a student or someone who just wants to help out and do good for the community.

Proposed project steps with time estimates

1) Chat & brief with our team manager over Zoom or Google Meet (Day 1).
2) Receive our Community Champions pack (within week 1)
3) Venture out into your neighbourhood armed with flyers and posters, asking permission as you go to distribute them. Talk to people about what we do and invite them to join. We are especially looking to recruit members of our older community.

* Community Champion starter pack including instructions, ideas and posters & flyers.
* Access to our team between 9am and 2pm (Mon to Friday) for assistance if required.

Mission
We connect families with GrandFriends (of any age) for mutual benefit, support, companionship and the prevention of social isolation and loneliness.
What we Do
GrandFriends busts isolation and loneliness! We are the bridge that brings kiwis together from across the generations. By connecting families with GrandFriends, we provide a long lasting “people” solution to loneliness. Using our years of experience we match like-minded GrandFriends, extending their support networks, so they can enjoy the special moments, share the load - all the while combating loneliness.
