We seek a highly experienced Senior Researcher to lead and manage advanced research projects within [industry/field]. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of academic and industry research, with a deep understanding of research methodologies, data analysis, and project management. This role requires someone who can independently design and execute research studies, mentor junior researchers, and contribute to the strategic direction of the research department.

Working location

Northland. This is a remote-only position with flexible hours.

Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in [specific methodologies/tools relevant to the field, e.g., qualitative/quantitative analysis, machine learning, etc.].
- Strong project management skills, with experience handling complex, multi-disciplinary research projects.

- Knowledge: Deep expertise in varied research areas, with a broad understanding of the latest developments and trends in the field.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Resided in New Zealand for more than 4 years.
- Fluent speaking and understanding of English.
- Spoken Te Reo Maori is advantageous.
- Deep understanding of the cultural history of NZ.

The Trust aims to help with issues surrounding climate change, environmental aspects of NZ government policies, international involvement, historical and contemporary flora and fauna claims in NZ such as Wai 262 claim which is the largest Māori claim in NZ and well known internationally.
What we Do
We are involved both nationally and internationally due to the broad spectrum level of this claim across all Crown Ministries in NZ.
