Proposed project steps with time estimates

1. You'll attend an online Day One Induction session to learn about Taskforce Kiwi.
2. You’ll meet with our National Comms Manager who will provide you with a job brief for the summer campaign. Expect the brief to include branding guidelines, examples of previous narratives, priority social media platforms, and expected deliverables for the upcoming campaign.
3. You will review the information provided and begin preparing a draft approach for the campaign.
4. You’ll present the draft approach to the National Comms Manager, and you will meet to work through any changes, if needed, and sign-off the approach.
5. You’ll get to work creating the collateral for the campaign.
6. Once the collateral is reviewed by the National Comms Manager, you’ll start scheduling the content (or we can, as agreed between both parties)
7. Following the campaign, you’ll meet with the National Comms Manager to discuss its success and suggest ways for Taskforce Kiwi to improve its processes for the next campaign.

What We Have In Place

Taskforce Kiwi has established social media accounts on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn which you will receive access to. We will provide you with access to our Canva Pro account, along with brand assets, raw imagery and videography, and our branding guidelines. You will have the full support of our National Comms Manager throughout the process, who will be able to meet with you virtually or in-person (Auckland region only).

Note: All Taskforce Kiwi volunteers are required to register via www.taskforcekiwi.org/get-involved and attend a Day One Induction session online. As a registered volunteer, you also have the opportunity to access our free training on disaster relief capabilities such as disaster first aid, aerial mapping (drones), or chainsaw training; and can express interest to deploy as a disaster relief volunteer in future operations domestically or internationally.
