We are looking for a group of professionals with experience of creating and leading across a range of disciplines (including Marketing, Sales, Legal, Organisational Strategy/Leadership Development, and Finance) to help our social enterprise create its strategic approach and plan.
Benefit of project to organisation
In the past year we have been able to provide part time employment to 12 people from the Bhutanese refugee and Nepalese migrant community of Christchurch. We supply our dumplings to craft bars in Christchurch, and food festivals in New Zealand. We have had raving feedback, and have proven that there is a market for dumplings to support, grow and sustain our social objectives. This project will enable us to continue at a much higher standard creating greater revenue to put back into the Christchurch community.
What we need
We would like to invite 5 people to work with us (either individually or as a team from one company) to help us shape our organisation's strategic approach and plan. We are not fixed on whether this work is done at the same time (on one day) or whether we pick of each part one at a time consecutively. Ideally, they would all be well integrated though.(Note: While we are based in Chch, we are very happy to work VIRTUALLY, so please do apply if you're from outside of Christchurch and this interests you!)
Specific strategic advice we require includes:
Marketing - You would be making revisions to our existing marketing strategy complete with a timeline that demonstrates all company activities in 2017.
Sales - You would be reviewing and improving the current sales strategy (to enhance our sales) complete with template guides and tools for use by Momo Said management.
Legal - You would be compiling relevant legal resources for a growing enterprise that operates in the hospitality industry. Including employee ownership (equity) and a company constitution.
Finance - You would be working alongside the Financial Manager to review financial performance to date and ascertain how financial improvements can be implemented. We would also like a high level 3 year financial plan complete with options for investment and return on investment scenarios.
Leadership, Personal and Organisational Development - We require strategic consultant to sit with our team individually and obtain a statement from each on purpose, mission and vision to work towards in their personal and professional lives.
What would be nice to have
It would be nice to have skilled people who work on the above list of projects who would like to be a part of the Momo Said "Advisory Board".
What we have in place
We are fully operational and have invested a lot in our staff's growth and the capital gear required to operate. However, due to our limited capability and staff capability we lack strategic and professional capability / capacity to sustain and grow our operation.
