Families Overcoming Addiction

Estimated Time: 12 - 16 Hours Over 1 - 2 Months

Families Overcoming Addiction are a community group offering support to families who are affected by family member's addiction in New Plymouth. We have an urgent need for a website to be able to provide information online and provide a way of communicating with the families that we support. We need someone to be able to take our ideas of what we need and develop a plan. This website will help our organisation to reach more people and provide them with a smooth and confidential way of making their first contact for support. We would be keen for a basic website that we could continue to develop in stages.

Working location

We are based in New Plymouth and are flexible about when and how we meet. Would be open to working virtually.

Proposed project steps with time estimates

Meet to discuss our needs and ideas (1-2 hours)
Come up with a website strategy (2- 3 hours)
Sign off of strategy
Develop a basic website with information about what we do and a contact us page (7 to 9 hours)
Training on managing and updating the website page (2 hours)

We will be guided by the volunteer as to the steps involved.

What We Have In Place

We have an email address but no website presence and no Facebook page.

We have a business card which may be useful as part of the graphics for the new website.

Thank you for considering this project. We are a fledgling, but active and passionate group, and we look forward to this opportunity to expand our public profile.
