Our lovely supporters want to give donations and buy our t-shirts to support our conservation project, but we don't have a way for them to donate via credit card or "pay here" on our website. We need advise on how to do it and preferably someone to help us make it happen. If Our website runs on WordPress.com.

Working location

We'd love to show you our beautiful wetland and forest restoration project out in West Auckland, but are happy to meet you wherever it suits. We don't have an office, we do have a laptop you can borrow to work on, but if you'd rather do it on your own device, that is good too.

Proposed project steps with time estimates

Step 1: you'll contact us and we're very honoured you chose to help us!
Step 2: we'll meet, in person or virtually, whatever you like to do best
Step 3: you'll have a look at what is needed, come back with any questions, give us advise
Step 4: we ask all the dumb questions, you answer them brilliantly and go and make it happen
Step 5: our donors can donate through the website
Step 6: We thank you profusely!!!

What We Have In Place

www.matukulink.org.nz is the website. It is in WordPress, a Divi theme made by a volunteer. If it needs changes, feel free to advise us there as well, but it's okay as it is.

This is above and beyond the skillset of our current volunteers, it would be amazing if someone can help us with it.

Mission
Matuku Link, a haven for native forest and wetland fauna and flora, a vital link between West Auckland's conservation projects, and a site where active wetland restoration is part of wetland conservation education for groups of all ages.
What we Do
We grow native plants in our nursery, to plant in our 37 hectare wetland and forest site adjacent to Auckland's largest wetland: Te Henga (Bethells), along the Waitakere River valley. We protect our native birds, insects and all other flora and fauna by pest control. We are building a "Sustainable Wetland Education Centre" in our old barn. All this is done by volunteers: locals, students, school groups, businesses, Scouts and everyone who likes to support nature, learn something and make friends along the way.
