It Takes a Village Hub are in need of a Web design/ developer to take our basic website and turn it into an easy to use and appealing website for our clients and donors. The bones of the information that is needed are on the website but we are in need of it to flow better and make sense to anyone that comes across our website. We are currently using Google Website builder. Our website is now at the heart of how families are able to get help from It Takes a Village Hub charity with our application forms attached to the websites. We also have all the information on how to donate to us, what items we accept and more. This project will allow It Takes a Village Hub to have a professional look to our charity and allow us to have pride in our website and the work we do in the community.

Working location

This role can either be done virtual or in the Canterbury region from your own home or office, we are flexible on times

Proposed project steps with time estimates

Step one: Meet with volunteer to discuss what our needs are for the website and to see if the fit is right for both parties. This can either be in person or via zoom. 1 hour

Step two: Volunteer will look at the website and put together a proposal of how to proceed and present to It Takes a Village Hub directors via zoom or in person and email. 3 Hours

Step three: Make the changes to the website that have been agreed upon with It Takes a Village Hub and report back with an issues or changes made. 6-8 hours.

What We Have In Place

We currently have a google website in place that was built by our 2 directors with little knowledge of building websites.
This includes 9 pages with our applications for our bundles attached which are a key part to our charity.

To provide support, resources and service that is free from judgement, within a safe, respectful and understanding environment, to the best of our ability, to members of the Canterbury regions.

What we Do

"It Takes a Village Hub (NZ)" is a registered charity based in Canterbury. We provide baby and toddler bundles to families that need a little extra help, for whatever reason in the Canterbury region. The bundles are free to families that apply - there is no means testing or judgement, we are here to help where we can. Baby Bundles launched in 2018, and toddler bundles in 2019 - to date we have provided over 1000 bundles to families in Canterbury, and as the need keeps growing, so do we. We believe that by helping each other we are helping our community to foster the old saying that it takes a village to raise a child, and we are proud and honored to have been able to support the families that come to us. We couldn't do this without the generous support of local and NZ businesses, the members of our It Takes A Village Facebook groups, and the many volunteers in the background.
