We need help from one or more people with a passion for the natural environment and a flair for systems project implementation! Helping EcoNet, a not for profit social enterprise roll out and maintain a new conservation activity management system with conservation groups. EcoNet Charitable Trust (www.econet.nz) is developing an innovative Conservation Activity Management System “CAMS”, a software product which is a game changer for community conservation groups, iwi, hapu and individual volunteers. CAMS is integrating Microsoft Dynamics CRM with the world class ArcGIS. CAMS is being developed and improved continuously.
Working location
Proposed project steps with time estimates
We have seven groups using the CRM and more using GIS. We need a person who can liaise with these groups, help them with issues, help them with onboarding, training and maintaining users.
The ideal candidate will be a good all-rounder with excellent people and communication skills and IT experience. They will have capability in understanding and communicating new systems and processes. They might have experience as an IT project coordinator or product owner. Ideally they will have experience and skills in software training and support, coaching, communication, CRM systems, customer service management, quality assurance, team volunteering and geospatial systems.
This is an opportunity for you to contribute to an exciting project that will dramatically improve the efforts of Aotearoa’s community groups and iwi in restoring our natural heritage by eradicating predators, controlling pest plants, restoring our waterways and expanding the population of native birds, trees and other taonga species.
Ideally this would be a paid position, however we do not have funds to pay someone at this stage. This entire project is run by volunteers.
What We Have In Place
We have configured software, a Microsoft and ArcGIS account, CRM, google drive, product manuals, and a supportive team. The volunteer will be trained to support and onboard users.
