The Experienced Policy Analyst plays a crucial role in shaping and influencing policy decisions within our Trust organization. This position demands high expertise in policy analysis, strategic thinking, and stakeholder engagement. The Analyst will contribute to developing policies that drive organizational goals and address critical challenges facing [organization/sector].

Working location

Northland. This is a volunteer remote only position with flexible hours.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Policy Research and Analysis
2. Policy Development
3. Stakeholder Engagement
4 Advocacy and Communication
5. Monitoring and Evaluation
6. Project Management
7. Fluent in legislative and Tikanga lore is advantageous.
7. Resides in New Zealand and has been in NZ for more than 4 years.
8. Speaks and understands the English language fluently.
9. Highly proficient in all Microsoft applications ie: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access Database, and Publisher.
10. Deep understanding of the cultural history of NZ.


This is a voluntary position therefore the hours are flexible.

The Trust aims to help with issues surrounding climate change, environmental aspects of NZ government policies, international involvement, historical and contemporary flora and fauna claims in NZ such as Wai 262 claim which is the largest Māori claim in NZ and well known internationally.
