We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced Events Co-ordinator to oversee and manage the planning, execution, and evaluation of various events. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in coordinating large-scale events and a keen eye for detail. You will work closely with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure all events run smoothly and meet high standards of quality and efficiency. Desirable Attributes: Listed in proposed steps.

Working location

Northland. This is a remote-only volunteer position with flexible hours.

Proposed Project Steps:
1. Initial Consult
2. Event Planning
3. Vendor Coordination.
4. Logistics Management.
5. Staff and Volunteer Coordination
6. Event Execution
7. Post-Event Evaluation

Desirable Attributes:
1. Certification in event planning or related fields.
2. Fluency in Te Reo Māori or a commitment to learning and integrating the language into events.
3. Creative problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
4. Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and handle unexpected challenges professionally while respecting cultural values.
6. Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Māori Studies, or related field (or equivalent experience).
7. Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in event coordination or management, with a demonstrated understanding of Māori culture and Te Reo Māori.
8. Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
10. Proficient in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
11. A deep understanding of the cultural history of NZ.
12. Flexibility to work irregular hours

The Trust aims to help with issues surrounding climate change, environmental aspects of NZ government policies, international involvement, historical and contemporary flora and fauna claims in NZ such as Wai 262 claim which is the largest Māori claim in NZ and well known internationally.

We are involved both nationally and internationally due to the broad spectrum level of this claim across all Crown Ministries in NZ.
